How do you use Amigas in your everyday life:
A4000T: Email with YAM, browsing with iBrowse, newsgroups with NewsRog. I manage my budget with TurbuCalc spreadsheets. It also runs my personal website with the Amiga version of Apache Web Server. Here's the URL - http://mikerye.homeip.net

A500: Mainly for running older software that won't run on the AGA chipset and playing games.
Five favorite Amiga apps:
IBrowse, YAM, Miami Deluxe, Directory Opus Magellan II, ImageFX
Five favorite Amiga games:
Stunt Car Racer, Super Stardust, Pinball Fantasies, Worms DC, Nemac IV
First Amiga experience:
I saw an Amiga 500 in a Walden's Book and Software store (remember them being there?) in Eau Claire, WI running the "El Gato" demo. It was 1985/86, and I "fell in love" with the machine. It took a couple of long summers mowing lawns and other stuff to scrape up the money to buy one, but I did it!
Why did you join the club?
To do anything I can to keep the Amiga community unified and afloat.
How do you see the future of Amiga:
"So bright, I gotta wear shades!" :-) I can't wait to get the AmigaOne G4-XE that I ordered. I look forward to using it, and hopefully beginning development on it.

How do you use Amigas in your everyday life:
My household is 100% Amiga and always has been. They are primarily used for everyday tasks such as keeping track of the budget, word processing, CD collection database, playing around with audio and graphics, etc. I'm also exploring a lot of software engineering theories and applying them with my Amiga thanks to GeekGadgets' port of GCC that gives me access to a modern C++ compiler. And with the help of Ethernet and Envoy, the LAN is able to keep all the machines cooperating at their best.

Sure there are occasions when I wish we were more compatible with other systems but when the latest virus scare hits the news media, we just laugh and keep on computing. Being different isn't all bad.
Five favorite Amiga apps:
PageStream, ImageFX, FinalCalc, PerfectPaint, Jabberwocky
Five favorite Amiga games:
Knights, BattleForce, SpaceTaxi, Silent Service, F-18 Interceptor
First Amiga experience:
Mindwalker on a friend's A1000
Why did you join the club:
I wanted to show my dedicated support for the production of the AmigaOne and get a free t-shirt to boot.
How do you see the future of Amiga:
We have great possibilities! The Amiga name is still strong and ripe for a resurgence. If AmigaOS 4.0 is smooth, snappy and efficient as it should be, the AmigaOne will shine above all the others despite the lack of some convenience features (e.g. multi-user). Add to that the fact we still have a friendly and helpful user community, although slightly bent on world domination, and Amiga has the best chance of all the systems out there to make a difference in computing and move us all forward.
