How do you use Amigas in your everyday life:
I use it for PHASAR (Professionla Home Accounty System And
Registrar) check book. Also for some accounts receivable
Five favorite Amiga apps:
Don't have 5 favorite Amiga apps as Amiga has gotten to
far behind, I like PHASAR, but the spredsheets have not kept
up to date. DELUXE MUSIC CONSTRUCTION SET 2 can't be touched.
It's great, I use it to score music into the computer.
Five favorite Amiga games:
None / don't play games
First Amiga experience:
Scoring music in DELUXE MUSIC CONSTRUCITON SET 1. Plus
learning to use WordPerfect 4.2 for the pc, via a bridgeboard.
Why did you join the club?
I'm interested in the Amiga and want to see it make a go
of it.
How do you see the future of Amiga:
I'm afraid it has a long row to hoe, unless it makes a
machine that is internet ready when purchased. That's why I
can't use my Amiga 4000 up to speed. Have to get on internet
to download upgrades, but bad modem, can't get on internet. I
can't upgrade, therefore, machine is not much use to me.
Name:
John Paul Copeland
Location:
Eldorado, Ontario Canada
Amigas owned and currently used:
A500 now A3000/040
How do you use Amigas in your everyday life:
Kids play games and use Final Writer to do projects. My
wife is school principal uses it for writing and preparing
lessons. I created one of the first internet art galleries in
'94. http://www.quinte.net/dream The gallery also explores why
we act like Canadians as well as displaying the art and poetry
of people who like Canada. I also use it to search the web and
write. The A3000 is the family computer. We only recently
aquired a Pentium I to get the few web pages we can't get with
the Amiga.
Five favorite Amiga apps:
AWeb, FinalWriter, ImageFX, Baby, Yam, NoteIt, and
Flow(but it does not work past 3.0)
Five favorite Amiga games:
Zool, MegaBall, PinBall, CoolSpot, Lemmings
First Amiga experience:
Saw Chess game at the C64 club
Why did you join the club:
Amiga is right (Have you read Stupid White Men?)
How do you see the future of Amiga:
I think Amiga can give people back the control of their
digital world. Thanks for continuing the platform. The
community had degraded to a lot of pompous egocentric
megalomaniacs and pirates till you guys surfaced. Good luck
with the future -- All the Best, John Paul |
